Dear St Paul’s Waldorf School Community,
This month started off with a wonderful festival up at Hampstead Health for May Day, where we all danced and celebrated the arrival of a new season. We were blessed with a warm and sunny start to summer, and with all the wonderful flower crowns, it was a festival day full of energy and warmth.
As spring slowly gives way to summer, we said goodbye to Mr Brogden this half-term, and we want to thank him for his hard work and commitment to the school – he will be missed by the whole community, but we wish him all the best in his new career.
We were also lucky to be visited by the Oslo Waldorf School Choir. They had us all up dancing in the Nave and a wonderful morning was had by all. We look forward to welcoming them back next year.
May brings with it an abundance of nature, and a chance to reconnect back to the natural world and detach from our screens. We would like to gently remind everyone that we are a smart phone-free school. We believe it’s important for children to be fully present and aware within the school in order for them to learn and thrive in our community. We want to thank everyone for working with us to encourage time away from the screens.
With Half Term next week, we hope that everyone gets a chance to rest and rejuvenate for the final part of the year. Taking a chance to soak in all the sunshine to come and reconnect to the outside world
Warm wishes,
Grace Cummins
