Dear St Paul’s Steiner School Community,
As we approach the end of the autumn term and the festive season, we are invited to pause, reflect, and embrace this time of peace. In the midst of winter’s quiet beauty, our school’s traditions and festivals—whether through Lantern Walks, Advent Spirals, Shepherds play or shared community gatherings—illuminate the darkness and nurture a sense of togetherness. This season is not only about celebration but about cultivating reverence within ourselves and within others.
The children’s learning continues to inspire us, blending knowledge with creativity, awe, and wonder. Their joy and curiosity are a testament to the strength of our teaching body and our wonderful curriculum. The Kindergartens have been busy making lanterns, candle dipping and other seasonal crafts.
As preparations are made for the sharing of work at the end-of-year festival, the classrooms are alive with activity:
- Class I – Seasonal crafts after learning the four processes in Maths
- Class II – Fables supporting their Literacy
- Class III – Shelters from around the world
- Class IV – Human and Animals
- Class V – Geography of the British Isles
In Middle School:
- Class VI – Geology, moving on to Business Maths
- Class VII – History beginning an exploration of the Renaissance
- Class VIII – The five Platonic solids, the culmination of years of Geometry
No less meaningful are the specialist subjects, and this year the subject curriculum overviews have been shared with parents.
We are deeply grateful for the support from families, staff, and friends. Your commitment shines in many ways, particularly through the Advent & Winter Fair, which transforms our school into a vibrant space of warmth and belonging.
On behalf of everyone at St Paul’s Steiner School, I wish you a joyful season filled with peace, love, and renewal. We look forward to welcoming you back in the new year for more shared learning and growth.
Happy Christmas, Hanukkah, Zarathosht Diso, Kwanzaa, and Winter Solstice!
Warm wishes,
Ms. Anna Retsler
