Our teachers come from all over the world and many walks of life and are united in their endeavour to apply Rudolf Steiner’s art of education to modern day needs. In addition to having completed the Steiner Teacher Training course, some of the teachers have other teaching qualifications including QTS and NVQ from 3 to 6.
Teacher training and development are an integral part of good practice. The Steiner Waldorf Schools Fellowship runs an annual training conference at Easter which our teachers attend, as well as training sessions each summer to prepare teachers for the coming year. The school regularly welcomes advisors from the Fellowship, who offer valuable feedback to the teachers with regard to classroom management and teaching standards. We employ specialist trainers for inset days and on-going work and are supported by advisors from the local authority in respect of Special Needs and Early Years work. The school has a programme of cyclical teacher assessment.
