St Paul's Steiner

Teaching through head, heart and hands

book an open tour

St Paul’s Steiner School provides a dynamic education that supports the development of well-rounded human beings who are resourceful, creative, responsible and curious.

Housed in a beautiful Grade II* listed building in Islington, St Paul’s is an independent, non-selective and non-denominational school for children aged 3-14 years old. We aim to prepare children to meet the challenges of the 21st century, and to develop the problem-solving skills required for a sustainable future, through an education that connects with them in an inspiring and practical way. In this digital age, when facts are so easily accessed, it is creativity, imagination and intuition that set us apart - and this is at the heart of everything we do.

  • At the end of term, Class V presented their research on counties, where they have independently worked as a pair, or a three and completed the work and content themselves. Mrs Steggall guided and coached their speaking presentations but the models, paintings, and research they did all by themselves. 'It's not about perfection or about being a jazzy presenter, this is about building inner confidence, strengthening resilience and knowing that we all have a place on this Earth, which comes with responsibility - the children are learning so much, like us all, and a lot is going on underneath, than just presenting their counties. I know you all know that, however, the children are doing so very well.' The class enjoyed fish and chips with bread and butter after from local @suttonandsons to end their study block of the British Isles. #education #wearewaldorf #creativeeducation #projects #CreativeJourney #waldorfeducation #making #alternativeeducation #crafting #independent #educationmatters #presentationskills #schoolperfomance #steinerwaldorf #performance #britishisles #geography #earth #collaboration

  • Each year the students of Class VIII dedicate themselves to an independent research project of their choosing. A few weeks ago the students showcased their culmination of efforts through presentations, practical demonstrations, and books to other students as well as parents and friends in the evening. They honed their practical skills, collaborated with mentors, and meticulously prepared engaging presentations to impart their newfound knowledge. We saw an eclectic mix of topics Zodiac & Constellations, Boxing, Rap, Audrey Hepburn, 3D Printing, Music Production, Heavy Metal, Short Films, Spray Painting, Unexplained Phenomena, Mythical Creatures, Symbology, Animation, The Mysteries of the Three Sisters. Class VII provided refreshments in the interval to fundraise for their trip. Class VIII presented their projects confidently and assuredly to the Classes, with much wonder and respect from the younger children. It is always so joyful to see them inspired by the work of the older children and start to imagine their future projects. It was also an opportunity for the community to see the quality of this education through their presentations, and to see so many ex students come to support them! #presentationskills #projects #independent #education #school #independentschools #studentlife #students #creativeeducation # #education #educationmatters #educationispower #waldorfeducation #teacher #teacherlife #wearewaldorf #CreativeJourney #making #creative #waldorfschool #schoollife #teachersfollowteachers
