In Class V, at an age sometimes referred to as the "golden age of childhood", the children study the British Isles, botany and the myths of the ancients: India, Persia, Babylonia, Egypt and Greece.

In Class VI, when the 12-year-olds are finding themselves in new bodies, they study the geology of the earth, mineralogy, physics, the Romans and European geography.
